A cooking technique everyone should master is the Greekify. Heard of it? Probably not, (likely because I made it up) but here’s how you can put it into practice:
1. Choose a favorite recipe
2. Swap out some key ingredients for traditionally Greek options i.e. lamb, olives, feta cheese etc.
3. Cook and enjoy!
I used this technique in making lamb burgers and after finding out that feta cheese doesn’t stay on a burger or melt very well, I thought. Why not bake it inside the patty?!
Result: Simply delicious.
These can serve as an appetizer or main dish, converted into traditional-sized burgers or even meatballs. Get creative and make them your own!

3/4 c dried breadcrumbs
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp salt
1 tsp curry powder
2 tsp dill
1 egg
1/4 c milk
1 1/4 lbs ground lamb
6 oz crumbed feta cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
10 slider buns
Makes Approximately 10 sliders
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
Combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, dill, curry, salt, egg and milk in a bowl. Add lamb and mix lightly with hands.
Wrap mixture around a small ball of feta cheese, form into a small patty and place on baking sheet. Drizzle or spray patties with olive oil and bake for 18-20 minutes.
I used an olive tapenade and tomatoes to complete my burger, but feel free to make it your own.
Those lamb sliders look yummy!!!!! I can taste them.
