We’re longtime fans of Jennifer Garner’s Pretend Cooking Show. From her family cornbread recipe to her foolproof gingersnaps to her kid-friendly fish sticks, the actress’s recipes never miss. Now, we’re drooling over a mind-blowingly easy (and surprisingly nutritious) dessert idea that she shared on Instagram, frozen yogurt bark.

“Frozen Yogurt Bark!” reads the caption. “Idea from @weelicious—with a little @onceuponafarm addition…It’s a perfect summer treat,” Garner writes. For the uninitiated, Once Upon a Farm is a line of organic snacks and meals cofounded by Garner herself. The brand boasts smoothies, overnight oats and baby food, but she used the Apple, Cherry & Elderberry Immunity Blend for this recipe.
This treat is so easy that you can no doubt pull it off on your first try without even using a recipe. It’s as simple as decking out your favorite yogurt with toppings of your choice, then freezing it until it’s breakable like chocolate bark.
We’re assuming Garner used plain Greek yogurt, but you could really use any kind you’d like. (Personally, we’re dreaming of a banana yogurt base topped with chopped walnuts and dark chocolate chunks, à la Chunky Monkey.) If you don’t have any Once Upon a Farm on hand, you can substitute fruit purée or jam, or omit it completely. Most importantly, go wild with the toppings—nothing is off limits.
Step 1: Line a baking sheet or pan with parchment paper. Spread a thick layer of yogurt onto the parchment paper.
Step 2: Drizzle the fruit purée or jam on top of the yogurt. Add additional toppings of your liking.
Step 3: Freeze until solid. Peel the parchment off the yogurt bark. Chop or break into pieces and enjoy.
